Grub Brothers Eatery in Washington

I know the road work is very hard on your business but for those who make the effort to get there and discover the effort wasn't worth it is very disappointing. We had the pork 'trash' nachos and they were barely warm - jalepenos cold out of the jar. Our hamburgers weren't great either and we didn't eat the collards. I gave 3 stars because our server was very sweet.

One of the few places that will cook a burger to order. Perfectly med rare and delicious. The staff is great. Nice menu with large selection, we always have a hard time deciding what to order because it all looks so good.

Picked up some great food and took it over to the part. My wife ordered the club sandwich and Cole slaw and I ordered the hot brown mess. Both were excellent. The bacon was amazing. I have no idea what they did to it, but I would drive all the way back there for the bacon. Yumm! Keep it up and we will see you all next time we are in town.

Processed food. I'm allergic to it. I got sick everytime. Our waitress was GREAT, though. She got a 25% tip.

Good food at a reasonable price, nice and knowledgeable staff, great drinks, their drink menu and special changes. The chicken tortilla soup was absolutely delicious.

The food was very good and Nick was a fun waiter who made sure we were very well served.

Much was fantastic and price was right. Have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The waitress was a sweet as could be.

This restaurant is so much fun. The menu is loaded with creative options, especially sandwiches and burgers. I loved the meatloaf sammie! Pickle fries are a real treat as an appetizer. The peanut butter pie is as good as I've ever had, and I've tried many! Also the service is friendly, making us feel at home, and the prices are really good considering the quality and size of the portions.

Slow service. Took an hour to get our food today. Tuesday lunch. China our server was not trained properly.

Their food was spectacular. We ate steamed peel and eat shrimp for an appetizer. They were perfectly cooked. Then we had the Philly Wrap, the Voodoo Queen Burger, and the ribs and BBQ platters. All were amazing. The bone fell right out of the ribs completely clean. BBQ wasnt vinegar logged. And all meals were perfect combinations. Their fries were perfect. Last but not least their chocolate torte and cheesecake were both creamy and rich. I WILL BE BACK!

Was my first time ever being here. I had the BBQ and rib combo and a few beer selections and the fried green tomatoes are AWESOME! Manager did a awesome job doing table checks and making sure everyone was doing good. Just need to have the servers engage with the tables a little more, it goes a LOOOONG way, trust me. But I will be coming back for more. Great job guys

Good food. Fun place. Very nice beer list. Red oak beer was delicious.

The last time I went I got the shrimp tacos and it was delicious.

The service was friendly but a bit unusual. When I ordered my Bloody Mary as a virgin she asked if I still wanted V8 in it. She also asked if we wanted to stay when one person had a full drink. The fried green tomatoes starter was the best any of us have had (and the Bloody Marys were great, both with and without alcohol). The Seafood Chowder and chili were good.

Had a excellent wedge salad with catfish. Large selection with assorted of food and a bar with NC local tap beer. The Bar is on the right side and the restaurant on the left side as you come in the door. Service was very good.

Food is great and tasty. Love the names of food items and the descriptions are great. Definitely try the house made chips!

Good atmosphere. I had their Reuben -- not bad. But pastrami instead of corned beef? Why??Seafood chowder is decent.

Amazing food and service. The food was so hot we could not eat it which was great. I had the hamburger and chicken tenders and both were spectacular. Could defiantly tell everything was locally cooked and not frozen. However, it was upsetting to see "no guns allowed" sign to law abiding gun owners.defiantly recommend location!

Grub Brother was great. Carlos , our waiter was excellent! He gave us great suggestions. The strawberry Margarita was excellent as well. We had the BBQ and Ribs. They were very tasty and tender. Tasted like they had been slow roasted all evening! Fell off of the bone! We will recommend to everyone! Great Atmosphere as well. Located in downtown Washington, right near the waterfront!

Southern Cooking made Better. The fried sampler is a great start. Pickle fries are awesome. Abita root beer! They have a bar and the men's room looks like a dirty bar John. Ladies room was reported as ok. Hot Brown Mess is SALTY. Tons of gravy and not very attractive but saltyness aside it was tasty. The grub fries are decent. My wife had the clam chowder and was very pleased. The clams were not over cooked as frequently happens. My daughter had the Tijuana wrap with prime rib. Excellent! The Mac and cheese was good but the white sauce was a bit runny. I will be back as we only had lunch items and none of the entrees or deserts.

Grub brothers is awesome, the appetizers are very original and the beer selection is pretty awesome. The down home bayou atmosphere really adds to the experience. My only problem with this place is that it can take a while to get your food.

I went for lunch today while I was in town. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a Honkey Toni burger with sweet potato fries. The price was about $10 for lunch and that’s a deal for the food. Very high quality and delicious. It arrived to the table about 15 mins after ordering. Worth a visit, especially if you want good food downtown, other than hot dogs or seafood.

Everytime I have lunch or dinner it,s always great. Nice people , service & drinks.

Went there tonight and the food was ok but the service was horrible. Our drinks sat empty and weren’t refilled. The waiter walked by our table and didn’t even look our way. We were very disappointed. I could understand if they were packed, but that was not the case.

We stopped here while passing the through and it was a mistake. I had the BBQ and is was so dry and overcooked that there wasn't enough BBQ sauce in the entire restaurant to save it! It was literally inedible and there was a piece of wilted lettuce mixed it with it which was very strange. It was supposed to come with cornbread but came with a stale dinner roll instead. The waitress was very sweet and the atmosphere was ok but the food was not good at all.

Really enjoyed it in here - Food was great & the location in old downtown Washington NC was very chill 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼☺️

Blackened tuna taco's with black beans and rice....OMG best fish taco I've ever had! Server was nice and friendly...menu was huge with many choices!

My wife and I had dinner Saturday night food was good, service was ok, but not spot on. It seemed the staff wasn’t happy to be there. We had heard the breakfast was better so we returned Sunday morning. We arrived at 8:15 to find we were the first customers. Eggs are only offered scrambled or as an omelet. I got an omelet that was good, but had to wait for the waitress to bring jelly and butter. OJ came in a bottle. No attention to detail here. No toothpicks in the whole place. BTW only one other table was occupied when we left. We got much better service and food at the grill around the corner, with toothpicks !! The grill was full when we walked past back to our B&B. Says a lot don’t it!

I had the "Carolina Girl" Burger and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The chili they put on it WAS the best I've ever had on a burger without question. The waitstaff was fantastic. We had a young man and it pains me that I can't recall his name, but he was absolutely the best of the best. If I wasn't broke he'd have got a much bigger tip out of me. My next time there I'll be sure to tip him again, even if he's not serving us. My kid got mini corn dogs that were WAY tastier than I thought they'd be and he polished his plate which absolutely shocked me. This place was a stunner for sure. I can't wait for my next visit when I'm in town. The menu is bananas in all the good ways, there's going to be something you'll want to try. Do yourself a favor and visit when you can.

This place is awesome. I love the atmosphere and the food is unique and delicious. It's one of my favorite local restaurants for lunch in Washington! The tuna tacos are my favorite!

Staff was very friendly to this out of towner. Food was on point. But having my cocktail before I have my food is important.

I was in there tonight. Saw a person, who has been there before. That person was treated pretty bad.Looks like Grub Brothers treats single. or eating alone, people, like they don't matter.This person was set aside, as beers and drinks were served to others .Don't go to Grub Brothers alone.At least. if you are not a local.Very bad customer service

Grub Brothers always has excellent service and food. I haven't gotten anything that wasn't exceptional. Absolutely a must try in the area. My only gripes are the change in fries (don't like the weird wedge things) and fried pickles are no longer on the menu. Still my favorite spot in the area!
